Notorious Baldies by Mr. Peruca
London-based Brazilian illustrator, designer, and art director Mr. Peruca has created a fun set of illustrations dubbedNotorious Baldies. The series features the hairless manes of various iconic characters from all corners of pop culture. Presented like a visual game, faces are hidden but it’s easy to identify and distinguish the wise, green head of Yoda from the shaved crown of Walter White, cleverly topped with his signature pair of glasses.
It brings us great pleasure to announce that we’ve carefully selected ten of Mr. Peruca’s awesome illustrations and they are now available as prints and canvases through our art store, My Modern Shop.
For A Woman’s Work is Never Done Eliza Bennett embroiders colored thread into her own hand to challenge the idea that work traditionally reserved for women is easy.
EMPTIED GESTURES BY HEATHER HANSEN
LA, New Orleans-based Artist Heather Hansen (tumblr) - "Emptying Gestures is an experiment in kinetic drawing. In this series, I am searching for ways to download my movement directly onto paper, emptying gestures from one form to another and creating something new in the process."
